Ongoing Prayer Request
- Please pray for the safety of our ski chaplains as they lead the
worship services on the ski slopes. Pray that God will prepare the hearts
of those who come to the services. Pray that even as people see the cross
on the ski slopes that they will be prompted to think about God and their
relationship with Him. Pray that many opportunities to share Christ will
happen as the ski chaplains ride the chair lifts.
- Pray for our children’s ministries. Pray for the volunteers
who work with the children. Pray that we might have boldness as we witness
to the children and their parents about the love of Jesus Christ. We are
trying to raise up a new generation of children who know and love Jesus.
- Pray for our youth ministries. Pray for the leaders of the youth
ministries. This is such a critical time in the lives of young people. Pray
that the youth with soak up God’s word and make God the center of their
lives.
- Pray for the church. Our community is drastically changing. More
and more locals are moving and more homes are owned by second homeowners.
Pray that the staff and church will see how God wants us to minister in this
changing environment.
- Pray that God would provide money to pay off our church building and provide money for a future house for staff. The cost of housing is very high here. It costs $700,000 to $1.5 million to buy a small to medium sized house here. We need to get at least 4 houses to just keep what we have going. We have between 5-15 years to solve this problem. We have a BIG GOD and we know He can meet this need so that we can continue to share God’s love here in Tahoe City.
