Pastor: Dan Holzer is the pastor of the church. He has been the pastor since 1972. Pastor Dan has a great sense of humor and his sermons are inspiring, entertaining, and have a practical application to everyday life. Dan is married to Donna and they have two children, Jordan and Dannie. Dan has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. He earned a master’s degree from Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary. Pastor Dan is available for weddings, funerals, baby dedications and counseling sessions.

Debbie Wohler is a Home Missionary of the North American Mission Board. Debbie came to Tahoe in 1979. Debbie directs the Big A Club, Parents’ Night Out, and ski ministry at six different ski areas. She tutors at the A+ Before and After School Ministry, recruits college students and adult volunteer groups, coordinates the Empties 4 Cash program, helps with My Morning Out, and has done outreach ministry at nine Olympic games. Debbie is a graduate of Eastern Illinois University and Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary.

Gaynell (Nell) Jackson is the Director of the A+ Before and After school program and the A+ Preschool. Nell came to Tahoe in 1988. Nell is a graduate of Southwest Baptist College in Bolivar, Missouri and Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary in Mill Valley, California. Nell teaches a “How to Become a Christian” class for children and adults. In her spare time she is a glamour coach, a grammar guru, and has a fabulous sense of humor.

Sarah Johnson is the Assistant Co-Director of the A+ Preschool. Sarah came to Tahoe in 2004. Sarah is a graduate of University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond, Oklahoma. Sarah has a degree in Special Education and a certificate in Early Childhood Education. Sarah is also our resident computer guru and fun fact machine! In her spare time she loves reading books, watching movies, and playing Sudako.

April Lay is the Assistant Co-Director of the A+ Preschool. She came as a semester missionary in 2004. She joined our year round staff in 2006. April is in charge of the preschool curriculum and teaches the 4 year old class. She has taught and directed the Kathleen Baptist Church school age program in Lakeland, FL. She taught preschool at this same church for 8 years before coming to Tahoe. She loves to read, loves history, and is a budding gourmet chef.

Craig Smith is our volunteer youth minister.

Craig is a carpenter working for Allegro Construction. Craig also volunteers as a ski chaplain for Tahoe Resort Ministries. Craig is originally from New York.
